What we do
Private tours
Full days on the Amalfi Coast, at Pompeii, on Capri or in Naples. Your own vehicle, your own driver, your own pace. Stop where you want, for as long as you want.
Private transfers
Airports, ports, stations and hotels across Campania and Lazio. Flight tracking, fixed price, no meters. Fuel and motorway tolls are included. Parking and access charges are stated in your quote where applicable.
Bus & coach hire
Vehicles with driver for groups, weddings, conferences and multi-day programmes. From an 8-seat minivan to a full-size coach.
Sorrento to Naples airport, four ways
The numbers below are the ones we can stand behind. Where a figure belongs to somebody else, we say so instead of guessing it.
A private transfer with us
- Price: fixed and agreed in writing before you travel. From €130 per vehicle, Sorrento to Naples airport.
- Time: about 70 minutes, straight to your door.
- Luggage: you tell us how many cases, we send the vehicle that takes them.
- Waiting: we track your flight number. 60 minutes of free waiting after you land.
- Who meets you: a driver in the arrivals hall with your name on a sign.
An airport taxi
- Price: a fixed municipal tariff applies between Naples airport and Sorrento.
- Time: much the same, once you have a car.
- Luggage: whatever fits in the car at the front of the rank.
- Waiting: you queue, and the queue is longest when several flights land together.
- Who meets you: nobody. You find the rank yourself.
A shared shuttle
- Price: cheaper for one person, dearer than a private vehicle for a family of four.
- Time: it leaves when it fills, then calls at other hotels before yours.
- Luggage: one case per person as a rule, and it’s enforced.
- Waiting: the shuttle runs to its timetable, not to your flight.
- Who meets you: a desk, not a driver.
Train and bus
- Price: the cheapest way there is, by some distance.
- Time: 2 to 3 hours, with a change and the Circumvesuviana at the end.
- Luggage: narrow carriages, steps, and no luggage racks.
- Waiting: whatever the timetable says, and it’s not built around flights.
- Who meets you: nobody.

You confirm
For new clients, a 50% deposit is normally required to confirm the booking. The balance is due before the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. Between 72 and 48 hours, 50% of the agreed price. Less than 48 hours or no-show, 100%.
We pick you up
Your driver’s name and phone number the day before. On the day, he’s there early.
No account, no card, no deposit at this stage. You’re asking a question, not making a booking.

Mastro GR Travel was founded in 2002, and the family has been moving people around this peninsula for three generations. [The first vehicle, the year and the name of the grandfather are still to come from the family.]
Twenty years on the same forty kilometres of coast teach you things that don’t fit in a brochure: which road closes when it rains, which hotel needs a shuttle from the car park, which restaurant in Amalfi still cooks for locals in August. That’s what you’re actually buying.
